Rise Against drops expanded version of ‘The Black Market’ on album’s sixth anniversary

Interscope/UMeToday marks the sixth anniversary of Rise Against's 2014 album, The Black Market, and to mark the occasion, the Chicago punks have dropped an expanded edition of the record.

Along with the original album, the updated version of The Black Market includes three bonus tracks: "Escape Artists," "About Damn Time" and "We Will Never Forget." "Escape Artists" had previously only been available on the Japanese edition of The Black Market, while "About Damn Time" and "We Will Never Forget" were included on Rise Against's 2015 Record Store Day single, The Eco-Terrorist in Me.

"We really swung for the fences," says guitarist Zach Blair of The Black Market. "Stylistically, I think it was one of our most important efforts because we really took liberties with what we perceived as the Rise sound. Which, in turn, broke us out of certain creative boxes and dead ends on the following records."

You can download the expanded The Black Market now via digital outlets.

Rise Against's most recent album is 2017's Wolves.
