Among the shows Foo Fighters had to cancel due to Dave Grohl's broken leg was the band's performance at the Rock Werchter festival in Belgium Thursday, June 25. To replace the Foos, festival organizers have announced Royal Blood and Faith No More will play the festival.
Faith No More is a completely new addition to the lineup, while Royal Blood will now play the Main Stage twice: once Thursday and once Saturday. Royal Blood is also supposed to be opening for Foo Fighters on their North American tour beginning July 6 in Camden, New Jersey. The Foos' North American trek, which officially kicks off July 4 in Washington, D.C., is still on schedule.
Grohl broke his leg after falling off the stage during a Foo Fighters show in Sweden June 12. His injury forced the band to cancel the remainder of their U.K. and European tour dates, including appearances at the Rock Werchter and Glastonbury festivals. Florence + the Machine was upgraded to headliners to replace Foo Fighters at Glastonbury.
Rock Werchter will be held June 25-28 in Werchter, Belgium. Florence + the Machine, Muse and Mumford & Sons are also scheduled to play the festival.
