Royal Blood, Kasabian Win Big at “NME” Awards

Image Courtesy of WBR PressRoyal Blood and Kasabian both took home multiple prizes at Wednesday night's NME Awards. Royal Blood was the winner of the Best Live Band and Best New Band awards, while Kasabian won Best British Band and Best Album.

Kasabian also was awarded Best Quote, which they won for guitarist Sergio Pizzorno reaction to his band's headlining spot at U.K. mega-festival Glastonbury. Pizzorno said, "Five records, 10 years, we've earned our shot."

As previously reported, Foo Fighters announced they would be headlining the 2015 edition of Glastonbury when they accepted the NME Award for Best International Band.

Other NME Awards winners included Muse for Best Fan Community, Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner for Hero of the Year and former Oasis man Liam Gallagher's Twitter for Best Band Social Media.
