Scott Stapp is getting back on the road. Following a rough year that began with a bizarre, public meltdown last November, the Creed frontman has announced his world Proof of Life tour. The trek kicks off with a three-show run in South Africa this December, followed by a North American leg in January.
The North American tour begins January 15 in St. Petersburg, Florida and concludes February 10 in Dallas. The venues for the North American dates have not yet been announced. Visit ScottStapp.com for all info.
Stapp announced the tour in a two-part video, which begins with a news bulletin from last year reporting that Stapp was placed in a psychiatric hold after being found incoherent on the side of the road.
"Last year I went through one of the toughest experiences of my life," says Stapp in the clip. "I nearly lost everything, including myself. I was in a dark hole and falling deeper. I didn't know where to go or how to find myself through all the damage."
"The love of my wife and children is what kept me alive," he continues. "It was the only light I could see. Today I have the courage to accept the things I can't change. All I can do is put one foot in front of the other and move forward."
