Credit: Jamie WeilandScott Weiland and the Wildabouts have been added to the Swamp Fox Biker Bash in Marion, South Carolina, taking place May 8-17. The former Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver frontman's new band will play May 13 to raise awareness of motorcycle safety and the dangers of drunk driving.

Other bands playing the Swamp Fox Biker Bash include Buckcherry and Bret Michaels. Tickets are available via Pledge Music.

Weiland also teamed up with Pledge Music to release his debut album with the Wildabouts, Blaster. Blaster will be released on March 31.

In other Scott Weiland news, the singer took to Facebook to apologize after he was rude to fans at a recent meet-and-greet following a concert in Boston.

"I would like to make a sincere apology to the fans that were at the meet and greet in Boston," he writes. "I'm embarrassed by my behavior and some of the things that I said."

According to AlternativeNation.net, several fans took to the STP forum BelowEmpty.com to vent about their unpleasant experience at the meet-and-greet, saying that Weiland was disrespectful and seemed drunk.

"I put my all into the show that night and honestly was just beyond exhausted," Weiland continues in his apology. "Either way, I acted like a total a**hole and for that I'm truly sorry."
