Scott Weiland Announces New Wildabouts Guitarist, Nick Maybury

Credit: Jamie WeilandScott Weiland has announced that guitarist Nick Maybury has joined his band the Wildabouts in place of Jeremy Brown, who passed away unexpectedly last month.  Maybury has previously played with Dave Navarro, Alice Cooper and Blondie's Debbie Harry.

"Jeremy had big shoes and no one can fill them," Weiland says in a statement.  "Along with [rhythm guitarist] Tommy Black, he was my best friend and my collaborator.  But we have to soldier on.  Nick is an incredible player and is a great fit for the Wildabouts."

Brown died on March 30, one day before Weiland and the Wildabouts' debut album, Blaster, was released. He was 34.

Maybury will join the Wildabouts on tour starting with their appearance at the Welcome to Rockville festival this Saturday in Jacksonville, Florida.  The band will then embark on a series of headlining shows in between more festival dates, including Rock on the Range, Rocklahoma and BottleRock.
