Shinedown Releases New Song, “Outcast”

Credit: Darren DoaneAfter sharing a 15-second preview Thursday, Shinedown has released the full version of their new song, "Outcast." The track is rooted in the hard rock sound Shinedown is known for, plus a few electronic flourishes to boot. It's now playing on YouTube.

"Outcast" is the fourth song to be released from Threat to Survival, following "Cut the Cord," "Black Cadillac" and "State of My Head." "Cut the Cord," the album's lead single, currently sits atop Billboard's Mainstream Rock Songs, giving Shinedown an impressive nine number-one singles on the chart.

This fall, Shinedown will be touring behind Threat to Survival on a co-headlining trek with Breaking Benjamin, which kicks off October 16 in Wichita, Kansas. Nothing More and Sevendust will also join the tour for select dates.

Threat to Survival will be released September 18.
