Credit: Autumn DeWildeSilversun Pickups have been tapped to be the house band at Saturday's Film Independent Spirit Awards. The Grammy-nominated band will be performing snippets of their hits like "Panic Switch," "Lazy Eye" and "The Pit" throughout the ceremony and in and out of each commercial break.
In other Silversun Pickups news, the band has recently finished recording their fourth album. The currently untitled set will be the follow-up to their 2012 release Neck of the Woods. Last year, the band also released a compilation album, entitled The Singles Collection, featuring one new track, "Cannibal."
The Film Independent Spirit Awards airs live on IFC February 21. Actor Fred Armisen and actress Kristen Bell will host the ceremony.
