Slipknot Premieres NSFW “XIX” Video

Credit: M. Shawn CrahanSlipknot's "XIX" is a dark, painful ode to the band's late bassist, Paul Gray, and the band keeps the funeral dirge atmosphere going in the track's newly released video. The clip, directed by percussionist Shawn Crahan, shows two barely-clothed women -- who soon become not-at-all-clothed women -- preparing a coffin for a viking funeral. "I don't usually let people see me cry," Crahan previously told Rolling Stone. "It's too hard. But when I heard what [frontman] Corey Taylor sang on the song 'XIX,' I cried and cried and cried. It hurt so bad."

Gray died in 2010 of an accidental drug overdose. "XIX" is the opening track from .5: The Gray Chapter, Slipknot's first album since Gray passed away. Alessandro Venturella, a former guitar tech for Mastodon, now plays bass in the band.

In other Slipknot news, the band has announced a tour U.K. tour for February 2016. Taylor and company will finish out this year with a North American tour, which kicks off October 13 in Bismarck, North Dakota.
