Slipknot’s Corey Taylor Slaps Wrestler in WWE “Feud”

Credit: M. Shawn CrahanCorey Taylor had a very busy weekend. Along with headlining the Monster Energy Aftershock festival and Knotfest with Slipknot, Taylor also got into a "scuffle" with WWE wrestler Baron Corbin. At Aftershock's WWE NXT tent, Corbin and Taylor engaged in a war of words, which was settled when Taylor slapped the wrestler across the face.

"Slipknot ain't nobody in my house," Corbin taunted, which instigated the ensuing slap. Corbin's opponent, Samoa Joe, then grabbed him and threw him into some stairs, whereupon various other acts of WWE violence occurred.

Taylor is a longtime wrestling fan. In a 2011 interview with Wrestling with Pop Culture, Taylor explained, "If you embrace it for what it is, which is entertainment, I have no illusions about the fact of if it's real or not. But I know it's physically taxing and it takes great skill to make it look good and no skill to make it look crappy."

Slipknot just completed their fall North American tour over the weekend. They will play the inaugural Knotfest Mexico in December before embarking on a European tour in January.
