Slipknot’s Jim Root’s Guitar Was Stolen

Credit: M. Shawn CrahanSlipknot guitarist Jim Root's custom satin silver Fender Stratocaster guitar was stolen while the band was playing a show in Portland on Thursday night. Root has posted a photo of the guitar and its serial number on Instagram in an effort to find the instrument and the thief.

"This was just stolen from our jam room at the Memorial Coliseum in Portland," writes Root of the guitar. "While we were on stage. F****** thieves. Nothing worse."

In happier Slipknot news, the band's annual Knotfest takes place this weekend in San Bernardino, California. Along with the Knot, the festival's lineup includes Judas Priest, Mastodon, Korn, Bring Me the Horizon and more.
