Slipknot’s Knotfest Expands to Mexico

Credit: M. Shawn CrahanKnotfest is expanding southward. Slipknot has announced that their annual music festival will be coming to coming to Mexico later this year. The details of Knotfest Mexico, including the lineup, dates and venue, will be revealed on August 24 at KnotfestMexico.com.

Slipknot launched Knotfest as a two-day, two-location festival in 2012. The festival returned in 2014 as a three-day event in San Bernardino, California. Knotfest Mexico won't be the first international Knotfest, however -- Slipknot also launched Knotfest Japan in 2014.

This year's North American Knotfest will be held October 24-25 in San Bernardino, with a special private concert held October 23 for festival campers and VIPs. Slipknot and Judas Priest will headline the festival, which will also feature performances from Bring Me the Horizon, Korn, Mastodon, All that Remains, Beartooth, Clutch, Suicidal Tendencies, Trivium and GWAR.
