Spoon announces ‘Slay on Cue reissue’ series

Matador RecordsSpoon has announced Slay on Cue, a reissue series for the band's back catalog.

The campaign will begin with Spoon's 1996 debut album, Telephono, and the 1997 Soft Effects EP receiving separate releases on vinyl and CD for the first time since they originally dropped over 20 years ago. Both titles will be available on July 24.

Slay on Cue will then continue with reissues of each of Spoon's albums, from 1998's A Series of Snakes through 2010's Transference. So far, the series does include Spoon's most recent two efforts, 2014's They Want My Soul and 2017's Hot Thoughts.

If you're interested in more archival Spoon material, you can also check out the band's Everything Hits at Once best-of compilation, which dropped last July.
