Spoon shares funky new track, “Can I Sit Next to You”; Announces headlining tour

Credit: Zackery Michael Spoon gets funky on "Can I Sit Next to You," a new track from the band's forthcoming album Hot Thoughts. You can listen to the song, and watch the surreal accompanying video, now on YouTube.

Along with the new track, Spoon has also announced a run of U.S. tour dates for the spring. The trek kicks off April 27 in Mobile, Alabama and will conclude May 11 in Columbus, Ohio. They'll also be playing two dates in Colorado in August. Visit SpoontheBand.com for ticket info.

This summer, Spoon will be playing the Panorama, Forecastle and Sloss festivals, plus two dates with Belle and Sebastian.

Hot Thoughts, Spoon's ninth studio album, will be released March 17.
