The results of The Village Voice's annual "Pazz and Jop" poll have been revealed, with bands like St. Vincent, Spoon, and Against Me! making the top 10. St. Vincent's St Vincent, Spoon's They Want My Soul and Against Me!'s Transgender Dysphoria Blues come in at numbers four, nine and ten, respectively.
Albums among the top 50 include Beck's Morning Phase at 16, Lana Del Rey's Ultraviolence at 22, New Pornographers' Brill Bruisers at 23, TV on the Radio's Seeds at 39 and Jack White's Lazaretto at 44.
R&B artist D'Angelo won the top spot with his album Black Messiah. The famously reclusive musician released the much-anticipated Black Messiah out of nowhere in the middle of December -- 14 years after his last album.
The "Pazz and Jop" poll tallies the votes of over 600 critics to come up with a list of more than 1,000 albums. Visit VillageVoice.com/PazznJop/Albums for the full list.
