Stone Temple Pilots Announce Spring Tour

Credit: Chapman BaehlerStone Temple Pilots are hitting the road this spring. The band, now fronted by Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington, will begin their tour April 8 in Seattle. The trek will run through an April 30 stop in Philadelphia.

Tickets will go on sale February 20 at 11 a.m. local time. If you RSVP to STP's Facebook event page, you'll receive a pre-sale code. For every ticket sold, $1 will be donated to Music for Relief, which helps with disaster relief and environmental protection. You can find all ticket info at StoneTemplePilots.com.

Bennington joined STP after the band fired their original frontman, Scott Weiland, in 2013. Weiland's new band, Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts, will begin touring in support of their forthcoming album, Blaster, later this month.

Earlier this year, Linkin Park was forced to cancel the majority of their tour due to a leg injury suffered by Bennington. This STP tour announcement, in addition to a variety of scheduled Linkin Park festival dates, seems to indicate that Bennington is healing just fine. In a video posted on YouTube to promote the tour, Bennington is standing up, but he's also standing behind an amp, making it difficult to see his condition.
