The members of Tame Impala are getting back to their Australian roots. According to Billboard, the Aussie band has lined up a homecoming tour for later this year in support of their album Currents.
The band will play five dates in outdoor amphitheaters across their native country, beginning November 7 in Melbourne. From there they’ll hit Sydney, Perth and Adelaide before finishing up in Brisbane on November 21.
Tame Impala -- led by frontman and guitarist Kevin Parker and featuring Dominic Simper, Jay Watson, Julien Barbagallo and Cam Avery -- were in Australia in July for the Splendour in the Grass Festival, but they haven’t properly toured the country in two years.
The band is currently on tour in Europe, with U.S. dates following in October.
