The 1975’s Matty Healy teases collaboration with Charli XCX: “A monster tune!”

Credit: Magdalena WosinskaThe 1975 frontman Matty Healy apparently has something in the works with Charli XCX.

Over the weekend, Healy tweeted that he sent the pop star a beat, which she then turned into a "hit."

"A monster tune!!" he added. "I'm prolific but she's on some s***."

A fan then asked if Healy would be featured on the song, to which he replied, "Not sure yet." However, he did say that the track was produced by himself, The 1975 drummer George Daniel and frequent collaborator No Rome.

There's no word on when we can expect to hear the Healy/XCX collaboration, but The 1975 will release a new album called Notes on a Conditional Form -- the follow-up to 2018's A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships -- on February 21, 2020.

You can also catch the English band on a U.S. tour starting November 16 in Camden, New Jersey.
