In an interview with Canada's CBC Music, the band's manager Alan McGee says that the Scottish alt-rockers will release their seventh studio effort in March 2017.
"They've made another album!" McGee says. "It's a big deal! It's unbelievable."
"It's coming out end of next March," he adds. "It's kinda enormous!"
The Jesus and Mary Chain's last album was 1998's Munki. The band officially split up the following year before reuniting in 2007.
