The Kills’ Alison Mosshart announces Sound Wheel spoken word album

Credit: David James SwansonThe Kills frontwoman Alison Mosshart has announced a solo spoken word album, Sound Wheel.

The record, which a press release describes as being about "cars, rock n' roll, and love," is a companion piece to Mosshart's CAR MA, a "printed collection of paintings, photographs, short stories and poetry."

Both Sound Wheel and CAR MA will be released on August 7 via Third Man, the label founded by Mosshart's Dead Weather band mate, Jack White.

Sound Wheel follows Mosshart's recently released solo singles "Rise" and "It Ain't Water."
