The Offspring’s new album is “98 percent finished,” due out in the fall

Thomas Niedermueller/RedfernsLast month, The Offspring guitarist Noodles revealed that the band's long-awaited 10th studio album was "done." But speaking now to Kerrang!, frontman Dexter Holland says there's still a bit of work to wrap up.

"It's not completely finished, but it is 98 percent finished," Holland explains.

"I don't really know how to describe it," he adds of the album's sound. "I guess it's punk rock, but then we throw in a couple of songs that aren't what you’d normally predict. We have a lot of really fast stuff on there, plus a couple of things that you might not really expect from us. But I'm really, really happy with it."

As for when we'll get to hear the record, Holland says he "imagine[s] it'd be out by the fall."

The Offspring's most recent album was 2012's Days Go By.
