Michael Tullberg/Getty ImagesThe Presidents of the United States of America are stepping down. In a Facebook post, the "Lump" rockers have announced that they actually broke up in the summer of 2015, and that they "are no longer functioning as a band."
"It is just time to move on is all," adds vocalist Chris Ballew. "Creative interests change and mutate and I am just trying to follow my instincts and do what thrills me most and part of that is moving on from the loud rock band stuff."
PUSA released their self-titled debut album in 1995. The record boasted the singles "Lump," "Peaches" and "Kitty," and has since been certified three-times platinum. The band released five more albums over its career, the last of which being 2014's Kudos to You!
