The Smashing Pumpkins Release Video for “Being Beige”

Image Courtesy of Martha's MusicThe Smashing Pumpkins have revealed the music video for "Being Beige," and it's anything but "beige." In between shots of hoodie-clad frontman Billy Corgan singing the track, the video features images of two naked women floating on a rock above the ocean. The women are also literally on fire. You can watch the video on YouTube.

"Being Beige" appears on The Pumpkins' latest album, Monuments to an Elegy. Last month, Corgan told The Guardian that Monuments, which peaked at number 33 on the Billboard 200, did not receive the positive reviews that it deserved.

"I’m laughing because I thought for sure I would get really strong reviews for [Monuments to an Elegy], based on all the feedback I was getting," Corgans said. "But I’m getting the same reviews I got back in the day, these kind of middling, muddling reviews that just won’t f**king say: 'This is a f**king brilliant album from a brilliant artist.'"

The Pumpkins plan to release a follow-up to Monuments, called Day for Night, later this year.
