The Strokes have returned to the studio. Frontman Julian Casablancas reportedly announced the band is recording new music during their set at the Landmark Festival in Washington, D.C. on Sunday night, and Amanda de Cadenet, wife of guitarist Nick Valensi, confirmed the news on Twitter.
"Julian let the cat outta the bag," wrote de Cadenet when asked whether The Strokes were really back in the studio.
Earlier this year, Casablancas told Noisey The Strokes had begun writing material for their next album, and they were "planning on recording stuff."
The Strokes' last album was 2013's Comedown Machine.
