Image Courtesy of RCA RecordsThe Strokes have been pretty quiet since they released their 2013's Comedown Machine, but it appears the band has begun the writing process once more. Frontman Julian Casablancas tells Noisey that The Strokes have reconvened in New York City for a week-long writing and recording session.
"It's the first time we've been exclusively writing since Comedown Machine," he says. "We're planning on recording stuff. I still think we could do cool things and I'll do that."
Casablancas adds that while The Strokes are working together, he still has plans for his solo project, Julian Casablancas + the Voidz.
"I'd like to do both [bands] really if I could," he says.
Meanwhile, The Strokes have a batch of summer tour dates scheduled, including a headlining spot at the Shaky Knees festival in Atlanta and Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Spain.
