The Struts have started working on new material to follow their 2018 sophomore album, YOUNG&DANGEROUS.
"We had this lovely burst of creativity a few months ago," frontman Luke Spiller tells ABC Radio. "It just kinda came really out of nowhere, while we were...in Brazil, and it ended up making its way into the Foo Fighters studio, Studio 606."
Following nearly a year of touring in support of YOUNG&DANGEROUS, which features the single "Body Talks," the English rockers have picked up on certain elements of their sound that fans are really responding to, and hope to implement that into the new material.
"I think people are really craving sonically something which is slightly closer to us live, which is something we're trying be conscious of," Spiller says. "And I think we all agree with them as well."
"I think we've done a lot of programmed stuff, we've done a lot of heavy production in the past and experimented, which is great," he continues. "But I think we can sound ever so slightly more powerful and raw."
In the meantime, you can catch The Struts on their upcoming fall U.S. tour, which kicks off September 10 in Toronto.
