With Jack White's Third Man Records opening a new store in his hometown of Detroit, the label is releasing a recording of an early The White Stripes show which took place in 1999 at the Gold Dollar in Detroit, located less than a mile from the new store. Live at the Gold Dollar Vol. III, which features the first live performances of "Suzy Lee" and "Astro," will be released through the Third Man Records Vault subscription service.
Third Man Records released the first two Live at the Gold Dollar volumes, which were recordings of The White Stripes' first ever shows, in previous Vault packages.
Along with Live at the Gold Dollar Vol. III, the new Vault package also includes a seven-inch single featuring The Dead Weather songs "Impossible Winner" and "Mile Markers" from the band's latest album, Dodge and Burn.
The Third Man Records Detroit store is set to open on November 27, this year's Black Friday.
