Credit: Jared LetoWell, it's not a new album, but it's still pretty big. Thirty Seconds to Mars has revealed that their "big announcement" is the 2016 edition of Camp Mars. The second installment of the band's wilderness retreat event will be held August 12-14 in Malibu, California.
The inaugural Camp Mars was held this past August in Malibu. The three-day event included musical performances and DJ sets, plus camping staples like hiking, climbing and tug of war. Full details of Camp Mars 2016 will be revealed on November 4.
"We have always looked to do things for our audience that are fun and unique," frontman Jared Leto told Rolling Stone of the first Camp Mars. "What better way to celebrate the summer than in beautiful Southern California with the Mars family in full."
Thirty Seconds to Mars last new album was 2013's Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams, which debuted at a career-high number-six on the Billboard 200.
