Toadies Announce New Album, “Heretics,” Featuring Acoustic Re-Workings

Kirtland RecordsToadies are going unplugged for their next album. Entitled Heretics, the band's sixth record will feature acoustic re-workings of past Toadies songs, including their biggest hit, "Possum Kingdom." Heretics will be released on September 18.

"It's been great, because our fans have been hands-down very accepting of whatever bizarre twist we've taken," says frontman Vadan Lewis in a statement.

Heretics will include nine acoustic re-workings of past Toadies songs, two new tracks called "In the Belly of a Whale" and "Queen of Scars," plus a cover of Blondie's "Heart of Glass."

Toadies will be touring all summer leading up to the release of Heretics starting July 9 in Chicago. The tour will end with the band's own Dia de Los Toadies festival, held September 11 and 12 in Fort Worth, Texas.
