Tom DeLonge to Speak at San Diego Comic-Con

Credit: Johnny BuzzerioTom DeLonge is headed to San Diego Comic-Con. The Angels & Airwaves frontman -- and former Blink-182 guitarist -- will be speaking about his Poet Anderson franchise. DeLonge will be speaking at various panels, giving interviews and signing autographs.

The saga of Poet Anderson, a fictional character created by DeLonge and his Angel & Airwaves band mate Ilan Rubin, began with the band's last album, 2014's The Dream Walker. Along with the album, DeLonge has released an animated short film, called Poet Anderson: The Dream Walker, and the first issues of a comic book series that further detail Poet's adventures. DeLonge also is writing a novel about the character and is planning a live-action feature film.

Outside of his work with Angels & Airwaves and Poet Anderson, DeLonge released his first solo album, To the Stars...Demos, Odds and Ends, earlier this year. He announced To the Stars following his very public falling out with his former Blink-182 band mates Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker. Blink-182 has continued with Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio in place of DeLonge.

San Diego Comic-Con will be held July 9-12 at the San Diego Convention Center.
