Tom DeLonge is ready to add "author" to his resume. The Angels & Airwaves frontman -- and former Blink-182 guitarist -- will release his first book, Poet Anderson...Of Nightmares, on October 6. DeLonge co-wrote the book, which is the first in a planned trilogy, with New York Times best-selling author Suzanne Young, best know for writing The Program young adult series.
Poet Anderson...Of Nightmares continues the story of Poet Anderson, a fictional character that DeLonge's created with his Angel & Airwaves band mate Ilan Rubin for the band's last album, 2014's The Dream Walker. Poet is also the subject of an animated short film, called Poet Anderson: The Dream Walker, and a series of comic books written by DeLonge.
DeLonge will be at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend to further discuss the adventures of Poet Anderson.
Outside of his work with Angels & Airwaves and Poet Anderson, DeLonge released his first solo album, To the Stars...Demos, Odds and Ends, earlier this year. He announced To the Stars following his very public falling out with his former Blink-182 band mates Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker. Blink-182 has continued with Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio in place of DeLonge.
