Credit: Eitan MiskevichTom Morello has announced a North American tour in support of his debut solo album, The Atlas Underground.

The headlining dates will kick off May 4 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and will wrap May 18 in Buffalo, New York. Tickets go on sale this Friday, February 22 via TomMorello.com.

These newly added stops will be Morello's first full Atlas Underground shows. The Rage Against the Machine guitarist previously held a series of listening parties and Q&A sessions about the album.

"The Atlas Underground Tour is one part Marshall stack guitar madness and one part bass drop meltdown," Morello says in a statement. "The show will be an intense sonic and visual 'less talk, more rock' experience that's somewhere between a crazy mosh pit, an illegal rave, a subversive art installation, and a prison riot."

It's not yet known whether any of the guests on The Atlas Underground -- which include K.Flay, Portugal. the Man, Mumford & Sons' Marcus Mumford and Rise Against's Tim McIlrath -- will be part of the shows.

In addition to the headlining dates, Morello will be bringing The Atlas Underground to a number of festivals this spring, including Welcome to Rockville, Epicenter, and Sonic Temple.
