During their set, the enigmatic rockers debuted two new songs, which are apparently titled "Descending" and "Invincible." Fan-shot footage of both performances is streaming now on YouTube.
"Descending" may sound a little familiar, as Tool has been tinkering with it live since at least 2012. However, Sunday night's performance marked the first time they played the full, 10-minute-plus version with vocals and lyrics.
As for "Invincible," Tool had never played that song live before.
All of this seems to indicate that Tool's much-anticipated new album, the long-awaited follow-up to 2006's 10,000 Days, may actually be within grasp. In February, Keenan tweeted that new music would finally arrive sometime between mid-May and mid-July.
Tool's tour continues Tuesday in Birmingham, Alabama.
