Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross’ “Halloween” theme cover to be released on vinyl

Sacred Bones Records/The Null CorporationIf you're looking for a new record to spin at your Halloween party, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have got you covered. The Nine Inch Nails duo's re-working of the theme from the 1978 horror classic Halloween will be released as an 12-inch vinyl single on October 26.

The single, which is fittingly printed on orange vinyl, also features Halloween director and composer John Carpenter's original version of the iconic theme.

Reznor and Ross' take on the Halloween theme was originally released last October. At the time, Reznor commented on how seeing Halloween in the theater at age 13 with a group of friends impacted his life.

"We left the theater forever changed," Reznor said. "We were damaged and scarred, with the s*** genuinely scared out of us and that theme stuck firmly in our heads. John Carpenter, it's your fault that I turned out the way I did."

A new Halloween movie, which also features music from Carpenter, hits theaters Friday.
