TV on the Radio has added another festival date to their busy itinerary. The band has been recruited to headline the Capitol Hill Block Party in Seattle. The Kills, electronic duo Ratatat and long-running indie rock band Built to Spill are also on the initial lineup. The full Capitol Hill Block Party lineup will be unveiled in June.
"I'm very pleased with the lineup we were able to put together this year," festival owner and producer Jason Lajeunesse tells Billboard. "In a time when large festivals are popping up all throughout the U.S., and booking many of the same bands from top to bottom, I'm proud of our diversity and quality of talent in 2015. I feel like this line up is exemplary of the spirit of the neighborhood and the festival as a whole."
The Capitol Hill Block Party will take place July 24-26 in Seattle's Capitol Hill district. Visit CapitolHillBlockParty.com for all ticket info.
Meanwhile, TV on the Radio is in the midst of a headlining tour in support of their latest album, Seeds. The band will make stops at the Shaky Knees festival and Lollapalooza, in addition to opening a show for Alt-J.
