Vance Joy will be the next artist to play JetBlue's "Live From T5" concert series. The Australian singer-songwriter will be performing an acoustic set in the airline's home terminal -- T5 -- at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport October 27.
Riding high on the success of his single "Riptide," which peaked at number one on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart, Vance Joy released his debut album, Dream Your Life Away, early last month.
"Vance Joy is the perfect artist for this series," says JetBlue Airways brand analyst Chan Tran in a press statement. "He offers the type of fresh sound and sensibility that we like to feature on this unique stage."
The "Live From T5" concert series began in 2009. It features exclusive pop-up performances held post-security in JFK Airport. Taylor Swift, Ellie Goulding, Jason Derulo, Daughtry and other artists have previously played the series.
Vance Joy is also currently touring North American venues that are not airports. The "Dream Your Life Away World Tour 2014" wraps up December 10 in Sacramento, CA.
