RCA Records WALK THE MOON has been tapped to open the MTV Video Music Awards pre-show. The band will be performing their massive hit "Shut Up and Dance," which is nominated for Best Rock Video at this year's VMAs.
"Shut Up and Dance" will be competing with Arctic Monkeys' "Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?," Fall Out Boy's "Uma Thurman," Hozier's "Take Me to Church," and Florence + the Machine's "Ship to Wreck" for the Best Rock Video moonman.
The pre-show airs Sunday, August 30 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on MTV, leading up to the VMAs at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.
