Watch a Clip from Upcoming Kurt Cobain Documentary, “Montage of Heck”

Image Courtesy of The End of Music, LLC/HBOKurt Cobain tried out quite a few band names before he settled on Nirvana. A new clip from the forthcoming documentary Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck shows an animated diary of the many names the Nirvana frontman considered, including "Elvis Cooper," "Godchild" and dozens of others. You can watch the clip, which is set to the Insecticide track "Dive," at TheGuardian.com.

Some of the rejected band names would instead go on to become titles of Nirvana songs, such as Nevermind's "Breed."

Montage of Heck, the first fully authorized documentary about Cobain, will begin a theatrical run in the U.S. starting on April 24. The film will also air on HBO May 4.
