ABC/Randy HolmesIf you saw the Dick Cheney biopic Vice and thought it needed more musical numbers, well, you're not alone. Director Adam McKay's film originally had a song-and-dance sequence led by Alabama Shakes' Brittany Howard.
In the deleted scene, Steve Carrell's Donald Rumsfeld walks with a young Cheney, played by Christian Bale, through a cafeteria as he explains the ins-and-outs of how to succeed in Washington, D.C. Suddenly, a woman played by Howard stands up and starts singing about the D.C. power dynamics that Rumsfeld is describing.
For example, Howard chants "Do the leak," while Rumsfeld describes leaking information to the press. You can watch the whole sequence now via RollingStone.com.
The scene will be included on the upcoming Vice Blu-ray/DVD, which will be released April 2.
