Credit: Pamela LittkyAlice in Chains has premiered a new video for "Rainier Fog," the title track from the band's Grammy-nominated new album.
Following the dark, gritty episodes of AiC's Black Antenna film project, the "Rainier Fog" video is an incredibly goofy respite. The surreal clip, streaming now on YouTube, takes place in a world where animals are replaced by walking bottles of beer, one of which the grunge icons adopt as a pet. Also, Big Foot is involved, because why not?
"In a world where things are becoming increasingly serious, with 'Rainier Fog' we have continued our long tradition of making a**es out of ourselves in videos," says drummer Sean Kinney. "So for all of you that were raised bottle-fed, this one is for you. Mission accomplished."
Alice in Chains will hit the road this summer in continued support of the Rainier Fog album on a co-headlining tour with Korn, starting July 18 in Austin, Texas.
They've also announced a special hometown show in Seattle taking place September 20. Tickets for that show go on sale this Friday, May 17 at 10 a.m. PT via AliceinChains.com.
