ABC/Travis BellFoo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins played a show with his Chevy Metal cover band over the weekend, and he was joined by two special guests.
During a performance of the Rolling Stones song "Miss You," Hawkins jammed with his pre-teen son, Oliver, and band mate Dave Grohl. Oliver followed in his dad's footsteps and manned the drum kit, while Grohl handled guitar. You can watch fan-recorded footage of the performance now via Instagram.
Oliver isn't the only musically inclined child of Foo -- Grohl's eldest daughter, Violet, is a singer, while his middle child, Harper, plays drums. Hopefully there's some kind of Grohl/Hawkins family band tour in the works.
In the meantime, the adult Foo Fighters will return to the road in 2019, starting with a performance at the Chris Cornell tribute concert in Los Angeles on January 16.
