Frontman Rome Ramirez wrote "Wicked Heart" about an argument he had with his wife. In the video, the reggae-rock trio gets pulled over by cops searching for illegal drugs.
"We wanted to keep the Sublime style but how a relationship can turn volatile real quick," Ramirez tells Billboard. "Nothing says that like the cops searching for narcotics."
For those wondering, Rameriz and his wife are "all good."
"Wicked Heart" is the lead single from Sublime with Rome's upcoming album, Blessings, due out spring 2019. The band, which features original Sublime member Eric Wilson, released their most recent album, Sirens, in 2015.
