Rage Against the Machine opened their 2010 show in London, which was captured for the upcoming Live at Finsbury Park concert film, with "Testify," the lead-off track from the band's last album, 1999's The Battle of Los Angeles. Now you can watch a clip of Rage performing "Testify" at Finsbury Park at TheDayMusicWon.com, a new website launched in conjunction with the film.
"The Day Music Won" refers to the campaign that resulted in Rage's Finsbury Park show. In 2009, an English DJ launched a campaign to make the band's 1992 track, "Killing in the Name," the number-one song on the U.K. singles chart on Christmas. The reason: to keep the most recent U.K. X-Factor winner from taking the top spot, which had been the tradition in recent years. To celebrate the victory, Rage played a free show in London's Finsbury Park. TheDayMusicWon.com also has a detailed timeline detailing the events that led to the Finsbury Park show.
Rage Against the Machine hasn't played a show since 2011, but bassist Tim Commerford recently told Rolling Stone "we still might play again."
Live at Finsbury Park will be released on Blu-ray/DVD and digitally October 16.
