That relationship will be chronicled in an upcoming 6-disc DVD collection called I Want My REMTV. Included in the collection is the feature-length documentary R.E.M. by MTV. On Wednesday, R.E.M. released a trailer for the documentary on their YouTube page.
"We just wanted to get in a van and see the U.S., like Jack Kerouac did," frontman Michael Stipe says in the trailer.
I Want My REMTV will be released on November 24. R.E.M. by MTV will premiere simultaneously on VH1 Classic and Palladia in November.
