What’s next for Paramore? “I really don’t know,” says Hayley Williams

ABC/Randy HolmesParamore has been pretty quiet this year, and frontwoman Hayley Williams says she isn't sure when that will change.

"I really don't know what's next for Paramore," Williams tells Entertainment Tonight.

"The guys and I just had dinner the other night at my house," she adds, referring to her band mates. "I think we're just really enjoying being friends and adult human beings at home by ourselves, without music."

Some members of the ParaFamily were convinced that new music was coming when Williams posted a silent video of herself playing the guitar on Instagram in June, but she says now she didn't mean to get everyone worked up.

"To be honest, I am an awful, awful human for those Instagram posts that I left everyone hanging with," Williams says.

She adds that the post was meant to remind fans that she's "always been a musician first," even as she continues to explore other ventures, including her Good Dye Young beauty company.

"My first creative outlet was music and even though people are going to see me in this kind of [beauty] space a lot more, I don't want people to forget," Williams explains. "So I kind of was like, 'I'm just gonna leave this here, and see ya guys on the flipside!'"

Paramore's most recent album is 2017's After Laughter. They last played a show in September 2018.
