The clip goes back and forth between the young version of the couple and the older, now-married version to show the husband's continued problem with alcohol. "This one means a lot to us," X Ambassadors write of the "Unsteady" video on Twitter. With lyrics such as "Dad, I know you're trying to fight when you feel like flying," it appears that the song is about a child watching his parents go through a divorce.
"Unsteady" is a song from X Ambassadors' debut album VHS, which features the hit single "Renegades." The band will continue their fall tour in support of VHS on October 9 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
