X Ambassadors Promise “Sleek and Mean” Production on VHS Tour

Credit: Natalia MantiniX Ambassadors will embark on their headlining fall tour tonight, October 21 in Washington, D.C. -- their first extended headlining trek in support of their debut album VHS, which was released over the summer.

"We're gonna have lights, we're gonna have a much bigger production," frontman Sam Harris tells ABC Radio about this larger-scale trek. "It's gonna be sleek and mean."

For X Ambassadors, touring is a family affair, as Sam's older brother Casey Harris plays keyboards in the band. Sam does admit that touring with your brother can be "pretty tense some times."

"But, I mean, we have been doing this together for a while so we know when to give each other space," he says. "But, hey man, it's siblings, you know?"

Of course, in addition to the brothers Harris, X Ambassadors includes non-family members guitarist Noah Feldshuh and drummer Adam Levin, which adds another dynamic to the band.

"It's not just us these days, we've been with the other guys for so long it's basically all four of us fight like brothers," Casey adds. "It gets rough on the road at times, but it's all good. It's like a family, so we all always make up at least enough to make the next show happen, and then it all comes together."

Any familial tension during the VHS tour should be eased, however, by one important amenity that X Ambassadors have never toured with before.

"We're gonna be in a bus for the first time ever, which is great," Sam tells ABC Radio. "Can't tell you how excited we are about that."
