Image Courtesy of BB Gun PressThe U.K.'s Reading & Leeds Festivals have announced that Metallica will headline the 2015 events. The metal legends together with Pierced the Veil, Refused and Manchester Orchestra and are among the first performers to be announced. A full line up for Reading & Leeds has yet to be revealed.
"We are obviously beyond thrilled to be returning to headline the magnificent and mighty double shot at Reading & Leeds for the fourth time," says Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich in a statement. "We are practically the house band. Bring it!"
Metallica just finished up their week-long residency on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. The band powered through five nights of performances including "For Whom the Bell Tolls," "Enter Sandman," "Hit the Lights," "Sad but True" and "Fuel."
Reading & Leeds consists of two festivals occurring simultaneously in England -- Reading at Richfield Avenue and Leeds at Braham Park. The 2015 Reading & Leeds festivals will take place August 28-30. Tickets to both festivals are on sale now.
