The Cranberries announce final album with Dolores O’Riordan; listen now to single “All Over Now”

BMGOn the one-year anniversary of Dolores O'Riordan's death, the surviving members of The Cranberries have announced the details of their final album. It's called In the End, and will be released April 26.

The first single from In the End is a song titled "All Over Now," which you can download now via digital outlets.

O'Riordan, who passed away unexpectedly on January 15, 2018 at age 46, had written and demoed the 11 songs that are included on In the End by late 2017, and the rest of the band finished the album following her death.

"We knew this had to be one of the, if not the, best Cranberries album that we could possibly do," says guitarist Noel Hogen. "The worry was that we would destroy the legacy of the band by making an album that wasn't up to standard."

He continues, "Once we had gone through all the demos that Dolores and I had worked on and decided that we had such a strong album we knew it would be the right thing and the best way that we could honor Dolores."

Here is the In the End track list:

"All Over Now"
"Lost"
"Wake Me When It's Over"
"A Place I Know"
"Catch Me if You Can"
"Got It"
"Illusion"
"Crazy Heart"
"Summer Song"
"The Pressure"
"In the End"

Listen now: Elle King shakes her own spirit on new track, “Little Bit of Lovin'”

Dennis Leupold"Little Bit of Lovin'," the latest track released from Elle King's upcoming album, Shake the Spirit, was quite the emotional experience for the singer.  According to Elle, by the time she was done recording it, she was on the floor sobbing.

"When I sang it with the band for the first time, I felt this joy coming through me," she says in a statement. "I’ll never forget it. Instead of having an out-of-body experience, I had an into-my-body experience. I felt myself snap into my body and I fell to my knees and burst into tears. I just started weeping. And I looked up at my bassist and he looked at me and he said, ‘It’s really nice to see you again, Elle.’”

The song was obviously partly inspired by her brief marriage, which ended in divorce after just three months.  "Yeah, my love was pure but I made an awful wife/'Cause my husband was dumb and I was just lazy," Elle sings.

The song also features a lengthy spoken word segment where Elle, sounding a bit like an old-time preacher, goes on about how you need to be "revived" and find love within yourself.

Over a gospel-flavored instrumental break, Elle declares, "I am not broken and I don't need the love of another person to feel complete."

She continues, "You can't be loved until you've seen love And you can't see love until you've known love. And you can't know love until you love yourself. But I know, and I got that now."

"Little Bit of Lovin'" is the fourth track Elle's released from Shake the Spirit, following "Shame," "Naturally Pretty GIrls" and "Good Thing Gone." The album's due out October 19.

Popping drink bottles behind false alarm that sparked stampede at Global Citizen Festival

Photo by Kevin Mazur/Getty Images for Global CitizenA loud noise that sparked a stampede at Saturday's Global Citizen Festival in New York City's Central Park turned out to be the popping of plastic bottles, a New York Police Department source tells ABC News.

The loud sound was mistaken for gunfire by some patrons, leading thousands to rush for the exits; a dozen people sustained injuries in the ensuing panic.

The New York City Police Department confirmed to ABC News that the loud noise, originally reported as being caused by a fallen security barrier, "was the sound of an attendee(s) stepping on and popping a drink bottle(s).“

In a statement to ABC on Sunday, Global Citizen's Hugh Evans said that sometime after 7 p.m., some attendees heard "a loud noise" they believed to be gunshots and raced to exit the park.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, along with NYPD Assistant Chief Kathleen O'Reilly, took the stage to reassure the understandably frightened crowd: "You're all safe," according to USA Today.

"What happened is a barrier I think fell down...But nobody is trying to hurt anybody," Martin continued. "Of course everyone is worried, we all care about people."

"There's no need to run fast," he warned, according to the newspaper, adding, "There's no need to push people out of the way."

The concert -- which also featured The Weeknd, Shawn MendesCardi B, John Legend, Janelle Monáe and Janet Jackson -- was paused until police were able to restore order.

Global Citizen is a movement to end extreme poverty by 2030. More than 60,000 people have attended the festival since its debut in 2012.

Elle King’s new album “Shake the Spirit” out October 19, tour kicks off next month

Dennis LeupoldElle King's sophomore album now has a title and a release date: Shake the Spirit will be out October 19.

She tweeted, "This record was a crazy, beautiful, enlightening, scary process and I can’t wait for you all to hear it and feel it within you."

Elle says of the album title,, "I decided to call it Shake The Spirit because I was shaken to the core over the last year and a half. I was literally talking to ghosts. But making the album not only changed my life, it saved my life. It’s like when you see somebody who is struggling, you want to shake them. Putting this record out is like shaking myself awake.”

Elle has also released a trailer for the album, featuring a voiceover where she explains how what she's been through -- including a secret marriage and divorce -- made her feel.

"I was dealing with really intense and major mental issues," she says. "But I was so in this moment that I would shake when I would sing. But I remembered thinking this: If you say beautiful things about yourself, and you say you love yourself, even if you don't believe it, one day you're gonna wake up and you will f***in' believe it."

"You have to shake yourself out of it, wake yourself up, and you have to shake your spirit, you gotta shake this darkness off of you, and you can," she adds. "And this is just the way I did it."

Elle has also released a new track from the album, "Good Thing Gone," as well as the track listing and an initial batch of tour dates, which kick off October 2 with a show in London, England and wrap up November 12 in L.A.
