311 details new album, “Mosaic”; shares lead single “Too Much to Think”

BMGFollowing last weekend's 311 Day -- March 11 -- the band has announced the details of their next album. The band's 12th studio effort is called Mosaic, and will be released in the summer.

Mosaic features the lead single "Too Much to Think," which you can listen to now on YouTube.

Speaking about the sound of Mosaic, frontman Nick Hexum describes it as a "menagerie of styles created by five friends and our extended musical family at our best! Innovation, fun, chops, and heart."

311 will the road this summer in support of Mosaic, starting June 22 in Cleveland. The 40-date trek, which will feature New Politics on select dates, will wrap up in September. Visit 311.com for ticket info.

In other 311 news, Hexum has launched an auction in support of his ART=CURE campaign, which raises money for research into multiple myeloma, an incurable blood cancer from which his mother suffers. The auction includes items signed by Trent Reznor, Tom Morello and Anthrax's Scott Ian, plus a songwriting session with Hexum himself.
